Kokorec is a very traditional dish, made of seasoned skewered lamb intestines. Kokorec is served with chopped tomato, pepper and thyme. It is served as a bread sandwich. You may also find in restaurants, served as a dish on a plate. There is a popular belief, kokorec is one of the foods that alleviate hangovers if consumed after drinking. It is quite possible to see people around a vendor having kokorec late at night after drinking.
